Procure 100g or more of maltodextrin such as N-Zorbit from your local gastronomy supply house or Amazon. Once you have the maltodextrin in hand there are two ways to mix the ingredients; by hand or by machine. You blender will come in handy, but if this is your first time, I recommend you do this by hand to get a feel for the needed outcome and quantities.
- Weigh 100 grams of maltodextrin into a mixing bowl
- Whisk 30 grams of high proof liquor SLOWLY into the maltodextrin. Add more or less until the powder is dry and slightly chunky. Conversely, you can add this to a blender to make the mix.
- Sift the fully absorbed alcohol powder to break up any chunks.
To store this, place it in a SEALED container with a silica gel pack that will absorb some of the water; thus increasing the concentration and flammability, while lightening the weight.
